Greetings Beautiful Aging Gracefully Women. The time has finally come. I’ve considered writing this blog for the past 3-4 years as I began my aging process. Thank you again for joining me on this journey.
This blog is NOT about how to lose weight, look younger, what to wear or even eating healthy! Nor is it about our hair! These things will be discussed because it is a part of my day to day life. This blog is about “Embracing the Change”! The body changes that we deal with whether we want to or not! I will discuss the real facts about Menopause. The things we whisper about amongst others but scream about personally. The hot flashes, night sweats and weight changes are some of the topics to be discussed in future posts. Medical research, statistics or nationwide data may or may not be included. It’s just real talk from a woman that’s doing her best to embrace this change!
As I look at the two pictures above, I realize there are numerous advantages to the Platinum Highlights era. Wisdom is one! There’s so much I could share with my 30 year old self. No more bushy hair is another! Pimples is the next! (Did I actually take a professional head shot with pimples? Ugh! What was I thinking?) Those pimples were probably directly related to Mother Nature’s monthly arrival, that dreaded menstrual cycle! Which is another advantage! No more cycles! Yippeeeee! Yayyyyyy! (I have waited for the “no more cycle” day since my last child was born 25+ years ago.) 50 and Fabulous is another advantage! For those of us that are here, we made it and we really are Fabulous and Beautiful! There are so many other advantages to this era that I will highlight as well. As I prepare to celebrate my 54th birthday later this year (God willing), the chemically added highlights, as seen in my 50th year picture, are no longer. Today’s look is below. To some it may not seem like much, but to me, my platinum highlights are visible in more ways than one.
We will discuss a topic that is not often discussed. A topic that is REAL for ALL Aging Gracefully women, but often overlooked. A topic that brings a lot of humor and tears simultaneously! A topic where Grace and Wisdom meets!
